01-11-2009 J.Biz According to Autobog in a private showing they were ucky enough to see the new 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class in Detroit. It has a much more conservative look and brand new tech to keep its customers satisfied.
The powertrain will include a choice of a direct injected E350 with a 292-hp 3.5-liter V6, or E500 with a 388-hp 5.5-liter V8. A seven speed automatic transmission will be standard and these two get-ups will be available by summer. Alternate versions including a 4Matic, E63 and Bluetech Diesel will be available later in the year.
The new E obviously sports a new look, but is also suppose to be more
aerodynamic than the past model, all while the overall size of the car
has grown.
This E-Class will have some tech to help incease safety and
convinience. It will have Attention Assist which heps drivers stay in
lane and puts a coffee cup icon on the dash to alert you of your
drowsiness as well as an optional lane departure warning. It will come
with infrared night vision, radar based cruise control, and high beam
headlights which dim for oncoming traffic. Look for the public debut of
this vehicle in March at the Geneva Motor Show.
