04-10-2009 Weirdest Robkast Back with another movie review this week I am Weirdest Robkast and this
is LifestyleUnrated and we welcome you to this movie review. The film
we will be talking about today is called Blindness and this film stars Julianne Moore(Boogie Nights) and Mark Ruffalo(Zodiac).
A
city is ravaged by an epidemic of instant "white blindness". Those
first afflicted are quarantined by the authorities in an abandoned
mental hospital where the newly created "society of the blind" quickly
breaks down. Criminals and the physically powerful prey upon the weak,
hording the meager food rations and committing horrific acts. There is
however one eyewitness played by Moore, who can still see, her sight
has been
unaffected by the plague. She follows her afflicted husband to the
quarantine where the others who are affected by the plague also reside.
There, keeping her sight a secret, she guides seven strangers who have
become, in essence, a family. She leads them to revolt against the
criminal faction and out of quarantine and onto
the ravaged streets of the city, which has seen all vestiges of
civilization crumble.
This
movie sucked and was too long for its own good, maybe if the last 5
minutes of the film along with the first 20 minutes of the film were
combined and that's all we had to watch, then it would have been a good
movie. I fell asleep during the middle of the movie and woke up pretty
much in the same spot, the middle of the movie. Nothing to my knowledge
changed or happened that might have held importance. The characters in
the film didn't even have names. That goes to show you how much the
creators of this film cared about it.
Anyway this has been
