Following Mercedes-Benz earlier confirmation, images of the company's
forthcoming SLS AMG electric
vehicle have Leaked onto the Web.
Look for the electric SLS to wear the E-Cell name in production form.
Seen here wearing an AMG lumilectric magno paint job, the E-Cell
promises to be the world's first all-electric super car, trumping the
Tesla Roadster in both price and performance. The E-Cell will begin
production in
2013. Power for the E-Cell will be provided by four electric motors
one at each corner that are capable of revving to 12,000rpm. Power
for the setup is said to be 519 horsepower and 649 lb-ft of torque, good
enough for a 0-60 time of just 4 seconds. The car's electric
power will be provided by a set of lithium polymer batteries, located
behind the cockpit and down the center tunnel. Handling should
be improved by a new rear spoiler, taking up residence where the gas
car?s exhaust system is located. If all goes as planned, the
E-Cell should arrive in Mercedes show rooms sometime in 2013.

McLaren has developed their new MP4-12C all on their lonesome, and its a good thing. Aside from the above staggering numbers, the car is feather light as it uses a carbon fiber tub and panels. Currently the MP4-12C has the highest horsepower to CO2 ratio of any internal combustion engine.
You can prepare for the next gear by half squeezing the paddle with McLaren's Pre-Cog seven speed dual clutch transmission and then take of into that next gear. Ten thousand units are slated for development in 2011.

04-19-2009 [Dot]Fuzz So as we all know its that time of year when
the car shows are starting to swing by, and one of the questions I am
asked the most by people are; "What is your favorite car at the show
this year?". Well this year after attending the 2009 New York
International Auto Show its going to be the new Dodge Circuit EV
concept, without a doubt. When I first saw this car I was in shock by
its pure agile yet, firm look it had to it. The front end being very
similar to the Viper yet a lot smaller of a car. But I haven't even
told you the best part of this agile sports car, is it uses NO GAS!!!!
That's right this car is fully electric. But don't underestimate this
car just because it runs on electricity, it goes 0-60 in less than 5
seconds, does a 1/4 mile in 12.6 seconds and goes to speeds up to 120
MPH. And if that's not enough for you the car can go 150-200 miles
without needing to be charged, that's more then three times what the
average electric car goes. Well if that doesn't make you a fan of this
car then I don't think anything will. 10/10!

08-26-2008 by J.Biz We all knew it was coming, and here it is. The latest Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport has two removable roofs. It has a removable hardtop and a fabric soft top which can be unfolded in an emergency such as rain and can withstand speeds up to 80 mph. Its like an umbrella which aligns with the space above the car. This version is rumored to have 1,200 horsepower, 1,106 ft-lbs of torque and a top speed of 252 mph.

07-08-2008 You may remember the Mercedes Maybach Exelero from the Jay-Z "Lost Ones" video. It was definitely a sick car then in 2005 and remains so. Now Maybach is making this one of a kind concept car available to the public. The Exelero has a 700 hp V12 engine capable of speeds up to 218 miles per hour. For availability click here. 06-26-2008 According to 7zune.com the new 2010 Nissan 370Z will have a special edition V8 version with a retro 240Z nose to represent the upgrade. The normal engine is currently in the Infinity G37, which is a 3.7 litter V6 capable of 330hp.Also predicted is double wishbone suspension up front and multi-link suspension in the rear. A 6 speed manual transmission, LED headlights, Brembo brake calipers and weight reduction a la chassis reformulation and a reduced chassis.

06-09-2008 A new Texan motor company; Ronn Motor Company has created a luxery performance vehicle that will be fueled by gasoline and hydrogen. The Scorpion was shown to the press last tuesday and it came with high expectations. The car will have a 0 to 60 of about 3.5 seconds. The car should get 40 miles per gallon with its Acura 3.5 Vtecg motor and 280hp or 450hp with the twin turbo and 6 speed stick shifter. All this will be accomplished while running off of 30-40% of real time produced hydrogen. There will be production of about 200- 500 vehicles. All info is as per the company's press release.
An All Electric Sky

The Amp boasts a 0 to 60 in around 5.7 seconds, same as the new Chevrolet Cobalt SS which is turbo charged. This Sky also creates zero CO2 emissions, a 90 mile per hour top speed, gets 150 miles per charge, and AMP estimates it burns 3 cents of fuel per mile. Purchase price is $25,000 for the conversion. According to dailymail.co.uk, seems these guys are
going to go for a Guinness Book world record as the world’s fastest limousine,
and longest Ferrari. Using a Ferrari 360 Modena they sandwiched in seating for
8 (9.5 ft) made from carbon fiber to create this monster. At a
total length of 20ft, it has a top speed of 166 mph and a 0 to 60 of less than
6 seconds. Dan Crawley and Chris Wright of Style Limousines in Cheadle, Manchester spent about £200,000 to create it. Looks good guys.

J.Biz 04/29/08 In the wake of new super car rumors from BMW, the German car manufacturer created a modern version of the M1 model of the late 70s and early 80s. 2008 marks the 30th anniversary of the M1 supercar. The car is called the BMW M1 Homage concept. No photos of the vehicle in motion or of mechanical parts so this may just be a shell. But hopefully BMW will reintroduce itself into the production of mid engined automobiles.
