05-07-2010 [Dot]Fuzz So Verizon's
version of the Nexus One is finally here, but ya can't go out to the store
and pick one out just yet. But if you order it off the Verizon website,
it will be shipped after 5/15.
Now I am a proud owner of a Nexus One, and to see
what Verizon/HTC/Google's doing to the Nexus One platform really bothers
me. To start things off they changed the name of it for Verizon. They
called it the "Droid Incredible" (Horrible name if you ask me), SAME
specs as the Nexus One(except for the camera.) Now if they would have
changed the name and put it on a different network I would not be upset at
all but because of the shear fact that it came to Verizon's network, it
makes the phone weaker and in my opinion worthless.
Sure you can still use the
super fast snapdragon processor, but not if you're on a phone call. You
can also use the lightning fast 3g network to browse the Internet...but
once again not if you're on the phone. You see the best parts of the phone
aren't even accessible if your using the phone to make a call.
The
phone itself is very good, in fact because of the camera being 3Mp
better than the camera on the Nexus One, it's a micro spec better. But on
the Verizon network it's a waste of money. Take that 200 dollars and
cancel your contract and spend it on a new phone on a better network.
Because Google did not
design the physical aspect of this phone it looks a bit different then
the Nexus One. It's still the candy bar shape, but the back has a bit of
a 3 dimensional design. Still slim and light wight as well.
