02-15-2010 Weirdest Robkast Jack Bauer is taking on a challenge he's never faced before,
making a movie. In a conspiracy of Hollywood proportions, 20th Century
Fox's film and TV studios are working to turn Fox's "24" television series into a film for the big screen, according to Variety.
The
movie would feature Jack Bauer played by Kiefer Sutherland, in Europe, which would likely mean our
favorite tough guy would be dealing with a global threat. Since the
pitch is said to have come through "24" star Sutherland,
who is a producer on the series, we wouldn't have to worry about
someone else taking over the key role.
According to Variety, Sutherland "is said to be eager" to turn the
series into a film franchise. And after eight seasons playing the hard
as nails tough guy and United States Patriot Jack Bauer, who can blame
him? Let's face it, Jack has
had some of the toughest days ever.
The television show's key executive producers, including Sutherland,
would produce the film, which is being written by Billy Ray(Breach, Shattered Glass).Stay tuned for more info on the "24" film.
