HTC Snapping the Competition in Half
It really is true, HTC just seems to be crushing the competition these days and now they're snapping them. With the new HTC Snap, they're not making it easy for there competition.

The HTC Snap is not a full blown business phone, as a matter of fact it doesn't even come with a lot of all the stuff that business phones come with like Power Point, Wi Fi, Excel  or even 3G. The snap is built for simplicity and style. The error of people having to deal with a horrible looking phone just because they don't want to pay for a phone with features that they are not going to use is over.

HTC Snap comes with a standard track ball to quickly speed throughout the Windows Mobile OS. Due to the fact that they didn't load the phone with a lot of applications the phone is extremely fast. Yup, so that means you no longer have to wait for your contact list to load.

It also has a feature called "Inner Circle" which lets you see a selected few of your contacts, emails and messages at a push of a button. So that means no more looking through old inboxes for messages, checking your email and thinking it is something that its not. Now you can see who your email is from and not just get an anonymous message.

SideKick LX 09
Sidekick LX 2009
Sidekick LX 2009
Okay, So before you go out and spend your next two weeks pay on a New Sidekick LX 09 let me mention a few things. Like am I the only one that thinks this model of this phone should have came out a year ago?

Come on guys. The new "Upgrades" to the LX 09 is..3G connection,a new 3.2 Mege Pixal camera, and GPS....Yea, so all of the things they claim to be a great upgrades are all old.. these three things that are the main factor of the new sidekick are all OLD. There has been phones out for over a year now that come with all these "upgrades".

But before I bash the new LX 09 too much there is one good thing about it. It comes with built in Facebook, Mysapce, and Twitter applications, so it makes it easier for you to let everyone know how much of a mistake you made by buying this phone.

It seems to me that every year they just come out with a new phone put 2-3 outdated upgrades and SLAP a $200 price tag on it, put the year that it came out at the end of the name and call it a day. So if you're looking for a good phone for your 16 year old daughter I guess you can't go wrong with this, but other than that lets try and make intelligent decisions before buying a new phone.

Somtimes All You Need Is Music
04-08-2009 [Dot]Fuzz
Sometimes all you need is music? Umm I think not. You see in today's world, in order to survive you need a phone that does more than plays music. So the purpose behind Sony releasing the Ericsson W205 is a mystery to me. Lets start off by stating that there are phones that came out 2 years ago that have better cameras than this phone, and that's not all. The "Special" features for this phone include; Blue tooth Wireless technology (Which every phone since 2006 has had), TrackID which identifies songs for you (That you can also download on any phone), and a 1.3 mega pixel camera. Need I say more ? Well if i had to find something nice in this phone, i would say that's its not a bad starter phone for a kid. It is  small and fits in your pocket.

Look Formilar?
03-03-2009 [Dot]Fuzz
These days you don't have to invent something new and amazing to make a mess of money, as you can see with this new LG Versa. Now don't get me wrong the Versa is a nice phone and all, but does anyone know how similar it looks to the LG Dare?
Well let's see....Same Candy bar shape, same button set-up, camera located on the same spot (But unlike the Dare the Versa only comes with a 2.0 mega pixel camera.) They didn't even bother to change the side volume, camera and lock button. Let me just list the differences for all you people out there.

  •      Versa comes with multiple customizable main displays
  •      Comes with a detectable keyboard...( when attached blocks the whole front screen)
  •      Has Flash Lite for YouTube videos ( Slows down the web browser)

Palm Pre
Image:
01-10-2009 [Dot]Fuzz
News from the world of Palms. Palm releases there new "Palm Pre ". The Palm Pre is the newest Palm phone, and this phone is going to be a revolution for Palm. The Pre is still designed similar to the other Palm phones but the new Pre has a different OS, which is similar to the HTC OS, very smooth running and user friendly. The web browser runs very well, and despite the fact that the screen isn't too big it comes with the squeeze effect zoom on the web browser. As for the release date of the phone or the further features like the camera types, or 3G capabilities will be posted once more information is released.
HTC pro
12-28-2008 [Dot]Fuzz
The HTC Pro is simply the combination of all the good things about all the smart phones built into one great smart phone. The HTC Pro is great for business oriented people. With its Wi-Fi compatibilities and GPS it's a dream phone for any business person. What's really nice about the phone is that even if you don't like typing on a touch screen keyboard you can always slide out the full qwerty keyboard and just type away on there. The HTC pro is offered for Verizon and Sprint. The only question that I have is why did Verizon put out the HTC Pro and the BlackBerry Storm around the same time. So which one is their main smart/business phone.... i don't know. You tell me what you think.

Samsung Behold
Samsung Behold
12-02-2008 [Dot]Fuzz
Well let's see what I can say for the Samsung Behold. Well it's beginning to look like a lot of companies are using the candy bar shaped touch screen phone now, which the Behold does use. It comes in two different colors, light brown and pinkish. Kinda small for a guy more for a girl with smaller hands only because it is a small phone so even when turned on its side and the whole Qwerty keyboard is exposed it is still hard to type for someone with large hands. Doesn't run off a 3G network but what did impress me with this phone is its full video recorder and 5 mega pixel camera which is something that we are just starting to see now, phones with over 3.2 mega pixels. Over all if you're not looking to spend too much money and you don't want a smart phone this phone is good for you. Touch screen, full keyboard and a great camera. So for all you people out there with T-mobile might wanna give this phone a look before jumping on anything else.

Sony Ericsson W980
11-05-2008 [Dot]Fuzz
So I guess these days when it comes to buying a cell phone you can't have your cake and eat it too. Now today we have the Sony Ericsson W980 which is an excellent music phone and well that's about all its excellent at, but is that the way it is? If you like music then you don't like the 3G systems? You must not like video cameras and simple things on phones that just make me happy, like flash so I can take pictures after five o'clock in the afternoon outside or inside. Yea well I am sure when Sony was designing the W980 they thought that adding a unnecessary but "cool looking" clear strip of plastic on the bottom of the front screen will make up for all that nonsense that we REALLY don't need like a flash on the camera and the ability to scroll throughout the menu fast. But its fine I'm sure that having a video recorder on your phone wont last..... or will it. Well for the W980 I sure hope that's true but in reality  we all know how entertaining it is to recorded our friends doing ridiculous things and being able to relive the monument on your phone.
Well I guess this is the part where I tell you about all the good stuff that the W980 has so this will be a short paragraph. the Sony Ericsson has a sleek slim fast "looking" design....

There's a Storm Brewing
10-08-2008 [Dot]Fuzz
The new BlackBerry Storm has all the main factors of the other BlackBerry phones plus one other thing that BlackBerry has never done with a phone. Now available on the BlackBerry Storm is a touch screen. The touch screen technology is similar to a mouse, which  makes it unbelievably easy to navigate throughout the browser. The Storm runs on the 3G system so it's fast. Even though it does not have the Windows OS like other BlackBerrys it still comes with Microsoft Exel, Word and PowerPoint. All these applications are available while using the phone and for you social feens Facebook and Myspace are avalable to be viewed as if on a computer. Sorry guys no release date yet, but rumors have it in late October we should be hearing more on the Storm.

Attack of the Androids

09-27-2008 [Dot]Fuzz

Since Google's release of the new Android frameware for the new T-Mobile G1 phone there's been nothing but bashing by all the iPhone fans and bashing from the Google/T-Mobile fans. so here I am a Verizon fan to set the record straight. I did a review of the iPhone already so here's my outlook on the new Google phone.

Okay, well here it is the Google phone is the only phone at the moment that comes with its nearly flawless Android operating system. It has all the fun and hip gizmos that you like on your phone plus more. The simple fact that the operating system on the phone is open source means that the posibilites on the phone when it comes to software are nearly endless. Because Google created the operating system is has all the swell things that Google offers users on the internet such as Google maps and their one of a kind search engine. The internet and some of the other operations on the phone will all be run on a 3g system, so don't worry its going to be fast. When using its GPS , it is said that you can even look for your friends on the GPS. It's fast. That's right you can input your friends phone information into the G1 so you can see where they are. The GPS system is one of a kind with 3D mapping so what ever you see out of your eyes you see in the phone which makes it nearly impossible to get lost with this thing. Oh and don't worry about the battery dying on you, because of its track ball that you use to navigate around the phone's operating system makes it a small hassle on the battery and it has a removable battery that you can just take out and put a new one in at any time.

As for its comparison to the iPhone, well its a bit bigger and heavier than the iPhone. and it comes with a physical keyboard  that slides out. They're both just as fast because they both run off 3g. Since the Google phone hasn't been released to the public I haven't been able to test it out and compare it myself. but from what some of the critics are saying its going to be a battle of who you like more T-Mobile or AT&T. With these two companies going at it with this battle of phones I can only wonder what Verizon has up there sleeves. I just hope they don't think their LG Dare can stand next to these phones.

RIM BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220
09-20-2008 by [Dot]Fuzz
Just when you thought BlackBerry couldn't do it again they announce the release the new RIM BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220. The RIM BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 is the first BlackBerry flip phone. With the BlackBerry's very familiar operating system it's very easy to maneuver around. It's kinda big, Its 3.9 inch tall and 1.9 inch wide and this shouldn't even have to be mentioned but a 2.0 megapixal camera. What really sold the phone to me was its amazing looking screen with 128x160 pixel external display. Another cool feature is you can preview text messages from the external screen without openning the phone.

Nokia N95
Nokia N85
07-31-2008 by [Dot]Fuzz
Well I have to tell you the truth, every week it gets harder and harder to find a phone that can "keep up" with the last phone, but there's something about the Nokia N95 that just says that it will have no problem keeping up at all.
The Nokia N95 comes with a 5 Mega Pixel camera, able to connect to the internet with either its 3g connection, which would come from the cell phone servive provider or its Wi-Fi capabilities. The Nokia N95 is also just the right size. Its not too small to be considered a girl's phone but just the right size that I wouldn't doubt that business people will be using them.8/10

Sidekick 2008
Sidekick 2008
07-30-2008 by J.Biz

The new T-Mobile Sidekick will simply be called the Sidekick 2008 as oppose to all the rumored names thrown around of late. This Sidekick makes great improvements over the LX model for a smaller price.

The Sidekick 2008 has a 2.0 mega pixel camera with video recording and playback capabilities, a 400 x 240 WQVGA 2.6 inch display, stereo Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, a microSD slot and personal customizable shells from sidekickshells.com. The shells will cost $9.99 for one and $14.99 for 2. The Sidekick itself will go for $149.99 with a two year contract, nearly $50 cheaper than an LX with greater abilities. The bulkiness of past sidekicks is reduced as the new dimensions of the phone are now 4.7 x 2.3 x 0.7 inches. The Danger device is available today at T-Mobile stores.

LG Dare

Well all I have to say for the LG Dare is WOW. It seems like every other phone is trying to keep up with the iPhone, but this phone is by far better in my opinion. The phone comes with a 3.2 mega pixel camera with a full html compatible browser, and picture and video editing software. For those of you that were worried about carrying around a big bulky phone, have no fear the Dare is thinner than most phones.

The new HTC Touch Diamond, is more than just an incredible smart phone, made by HTC. The sleek Diamond has a 2.8 inch 3D touch screen, with Wi-Fi capabilities, 4G of internal storage, 2MB of Ram and a slide open QWERTY keyboard. It has a 3.2 MegaPixal camera and it also comes with a built in GPS system that can be used to find places or just to tell you were you are. One of its biggest strong points is the ultra fast internet with capabilities to watch all diffrent videos from www.YouTube.com with speeds up to 7.2 Mbps. The only bad thing that i can see at the moment is that the phone may need a few frameware updates till its perfected, and its said to be released sometime in 2008.

Be Bold?
The wait is over. The BlackBerry 9000 AKA the Bold has so far proven itself to be the best BlackBerry out at the moment. With all of the positives from the old BlackBerrys but none of the negatives. Its going to be selling for for about 300 to 500
dollars, and will be avaible AT&T and T-Mobile. Would buying this phone be a BOLD move ? I think so.

Apple allowing 3rd Party Softwear on iPhone?
Oh yes! Apple is now going to allow you to use some 3rd party software on your iPhone, although it sacrafices security. Most things that are web 2.0 compatible will be able to be downloaded on your iPhone like games and programs. For example there's now some software that allows you to configure the aperture for the camera on the iPhone. Some companies do not write alot of software for the iPhone because it's the only phone that uses that frameware but the software that is produced should be very good.
