Step Brothers\
08-04-2008
Hello people this is Weirdest Robkast back at cha for this weeks movie review. On tap I have scheduled to report my review on the funniest movie so far this year, Step Brothers. I also will be talking about some DVD releases that might be worth checking out.

After I elected to go see Step Brothers as opposed to seeing The Dark Knight for a third time, I'm relieved that my decision didn't haunt me, because Step brothers starring Will Ferrell ("Anchorman") and John C. Reilly ("Walk Hard") happened to be the funniest comedy I've seen all year long. This movie is about two 40 year old guys, who after both their single parents get married, have to learn and adjust to life. Now  before these two became brothers they lived their lives  according to how a teenager would. They took nothing serious, they acted like idiots,  they were reckless, and they didn't have jobs. Throughout the first 45 minutes of the film Ferrell and Reilly battled each other and disagreed with their parents decision to get hitched, this brought about some of the crudest acts of behavior between the two characters, and some of the funniest moments in movie history. Though the movie takes steps toward seriousness in the latter parts, the humor and behavior of the characters almost never seems to change. Ferrel and Reilly are a great tandem, as seen in Talladega Nights: The Ballard Of Ricky Bobby, and that chemistry shows a great deal in Step Brothers. The movie ends in dramatic fashion, as it pays tribute to one of the greatest action movies of all time The Matrix Reloaded.

Reasons why you should see this movie:
1. In one scene of the movie(My favorite scene) Ferrel threatens to go put his testicles all over Reilly's favorite drumset, lets just say it wasn't just a threat. Lmao!
2. The two step brothers make an attempt to be a rap group and come up with the idea of making a music video. Boats and Hoes. Lmao.
3. There are some great supporting roles in this movie as well as some funny cameos from familiar faced actors and actresses.

Hey once again this movie review is brought to you by Weirdest Robkast and the people of Lifestyleunrated. We just want you to know that without you, we are nothing. Thanks. And till next time Peace!!!!!

I Am Legend
This weeks movie rentals are Doomsday and I am Legend.

Doomsday is a post apocalyptic action thriller starring Rhona Mitra ("The Number 23") and Bob Hoskins ("Outlaw"). This movie starts off kinda like 28 Days Later then turns into Mad Max, either way a virus breaks out in Glasgow, Scotland and the English government inacts marshall law in order to save humanity. However 27 years later after preventing the virus from spreading, a new form of the virus turns up in England, and now that survivors have been discovered in Glasgow, the English government sends a team of soldiers back into Glasgow to find a cure before England turns out the way Scotland did. This movie had good elements and cliche elements of past movies, i.e.- the two I mentioned above, but at times this film was interesting enough not to turn off. I seemed to constantly be entertained by this films main character Rhona Mitra.

What can I possibly say about I Am Legend, which hasn't been said already,  but this is by far one of the top ten  best movie performances I've ever seen in my lifetime. Will Smith(Hancock) delivered a gritty performance as Robert Neville, a military scientist assigned in New York to find the cure for the world's deadliest virus, and after years of solitude, trial and error of not being capable of finding a cure, Neville starts to lose his mind a little, then he questions himself, and his ability to create a cure. Battling with the fact that he is the last man alive, and the only one capable of creating a cure he struggles with constant battles with the living infected people, the day by day regime he instills in order to continue living and the new revelation that there just might be others who survived the infection. Regardless of what people think or say I truly believe that this was Smith's best piece of work and he deserved an Oscar nod for this one. So if you have or haven't seen this movie, see it again and then get back to me with your opinion.

This is Weirdest Robkast!!! And I'm out. Till next time, peace and Love!!!!!
