Hey
web users Weirdest Robkast back to bring you another film preview of
the new karate kid flick, with a twist. The Karate Kid, starring Jaden Smith and
Jackie Chan as student and teacher, is a bit different from the Karate
Kid we all know and remember from back in the 80's. So how do you remake
a cult classic, put an icon and the son of an icon in your movie. Dre Parker played by Smith, a kid from Detroit,
and his mother played by Taraji P. Henson, move to China because of his
mother's latest career move. Dre immediately falls for his classmate Mei
Ying, but cultural differences make such a
friendship impossible. Even worse, Dre's feelings make an enemy of the
class bully, Cheng. With no
friends in a strange land, Dre has nowhere to turn but to a maintenance
man,
Mr. Han played by Chan, who is secretly a master of Kung-Fu. As Han
teaches Dre that Kung-Fu is not about punches and parries, but maturity
and calm, Dre
realizes that facing the bullies will be the fight of his life.
Set
