01-14-2010 Weirdest Robkast Ladies and Gentlemen today I've decided to introduce a movie about a topic which is rarely mentioned in the film industry. To Save A Life,
is a film involving teen suicide, and the pressures of not fitting
in(or what I like to call Social Segregation). In this film our
protagonist Jake Taylor played by actor Randy Wayne is a popular guy
with many friends, he's a great athlete, and has the best looking girl
in school. Throughout his life he has not had to try to fit in because
he was always in, the "in crowd" that is. But after a childhood friend
of Jake's(who, due to Jake's ever growing popularity pushed him away)
decides to take his life in the middle of the school hallway, Jake
seeks answers in his life, and the one thing that dawns on him is,
could he have saved him? Jake decides things have got to change, so
Jake embarks on a mission to not allow social segregation play a role
in the destruction of another kid's life. He finds himself deeply
compelled to reach out to kids on the fringe, kids who aren't viewed as
cool enough. But this decision among other
things, threatens Jake's world. He may lose his friends, his
scholarship and even his reputation by asking "What do I want my life
to be about?"
To Save A Life is directed by Brian Baugh, and stars Randy Wayne(The Haunting Of Molly Hartley), Deja Kreutzberg(Sorority Row), and Robert Bailey Jr.(The Happening). It is set for a January 22, 2010 released date.
